Serve meals to the poor and homeless
Sort food at food pantries
Maintain the banks of the Charles River
Answer phones for radio & tv pledge drives
Perform yardwork for elderly citizens
Assist with Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts
Deliver Chanukah & Passover meals to homebound elderly
Care for farm animals rescued from abuse & neglect
Play bingo and socialize with senior citizens
Assist with transplanting & crop maintenance at community farms
YAVA members always enjoy food & drink together after volunteering. In addition, we often indulge in crazy awesome social events like Frisbee Socials, Massage Socials, incredible YAVApalooza weekend festivals, Halloween Socials, and even catered open-bar Volunteerism Socials at the Ritz Carlton penthouse suite!Sweet!
