Greetings!

Thanks to everyone that helped this past weekend. We mulched two playgrounds in Charlestown--beautifying public space that hadn't gotten much love in a few years.

Special thanks to the future YAVA member, see right, who did his part, and to the people that came out to show their support for our work. Later that night it was off to Felt for a volunteering celebration. While the Sox couldn't deliver, all of you that attended confirmed that YAVA parties are always a hit!

If you haven't seen the newsletter this week, then it's a good thing you're seeing this. This Sunday, our friends at Students4Peace are hosting Rock4Peace, a celebration of International Peace Day

This year Rock 4 Peace will benefit the pediatric wards of Al-Rea’ayeh Al-Arabia Hospital in Ramallah and Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.

YAVA is a non-profit, volunteering organization headquartered in Boston, that brings together young professionals and recent college grads who want to give back to the community and also meet new people. That's right, if you are going to the first ever YAVA Ski Trip!!$120 includes food, lodging and lift ticket. To sign up, you must have volunteered at least once in the last 6 months.

Please RSVP directly to Rohit and he will contact you to collect your deposit of $50.

Come celebrate our two year anniversary on Thursday, February 7th at 8:00pm with a 90's themed celebration at Redline in Harvard Sq with special guests local DJ duo Soul Clap.

All existing members and anyone interested in finding out more about YAVA is invited to the two year anniversary celebration at Redline, 56 JFK St, Cambridge, MA at 8:00pm on February 7th. Admission is $10 if you RSVP ahead of time.

Miss filling boxes now that the holidays are over? Well, you are in luck! Ethos need help with packing an at risk elder's stuff into boxes so he can move from a nursing home to a group home. Volunteers are needed January 5, 6 or any day during the week of Jan 7-11 when ever you can make it there. They are totally flexible! The apartment is in Hyde Park.
