YAVA - Connecting People Through Volunteering

Miss filling boxes now that the holidays are over?  Well, you are in luck!  Ethos need help with packing an at risk elder's stuff into boxes so he can move from a nursing home to a group home.  Volunteers are needed January 5, 6 or any day during the week of Jan 7-11 when ever you can make it there.  They are totally flexible!  The apartment is in Hyde Park.  Contact Olga at Ethos directly at: 617-522-6700 x 323 or oyulikova@ethocare.org to help out!

No, it's not going to get darker even sooner, but we do have a change to the calendar.  Our volunteering spot at WGBH on Sunday, December 16th, has been moved earlier and will now be from 3:00pm - 7:30pm.  Maybe this means you can make it now?  If so, sign up here.  There are many perks to helping WGBH: great people, fun work, free dinner, and you even get a free year's subscription to WGBH.  What could be better?  Sign up with your friends too!  Woohoo!

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to our December 16th volunteering event at WGBH, YAVA has asked WGBH to give us more volunteer spots.  If you tried to sign up for the event and it was full, check the calendar, there is now a space for you.  We will keep asking for more volunteer slots as they get filled, so keep signing up and get your friends to help too.  Great job everyone!
